This will be an evening social at the Sir Henry Wigram Lounge at Christchurch. We’ll enjoy a delicious three-course meal from Country Feasts that includes meat lover and vegetarian options. Dinner is $38 for most and $19 for children aged 5 - 12.

The bar opens at 5 pm, seated by 6 pm, and dinner will be served at 6.30 pm.

To cap off the event we're delighted to have Ross talk to us about his flying, and maybe about fishing too. Here's a little bit about Ross:

Ross Millichamp spent most of his career working in fisheries and environmental management in the Canterbury region. Outside of work he was a passionate fisherman, hunter, jet boater and freelance writer. In 2008 he contacted a serious bacterial infection which left him with a number of permanent disabilities. Ross joined the Canterbury Aero Club in 2009, hoping that learning to fly would be a good form of rehabilitation and take the place of some of his former hobbies that he suspected would no longer be possible due to his disabilities. After gaining his PPL, Ross and his wife Jinny purchased an aircraft and have become involved in the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of New Zealand. Ross will talk about his struggles learning to fly and some of adventures that he and Jinny have had flying around New Zealand since then.
